Hotmail: how to delete your account

How to delete a Hotmail account
To delete your Hotmail account, go to your Microsoft (formerly Windows Live) account or any of the following unsubscribe links: http://hotmailsigninaz.net/mail/hotmail/block-senders-hotmail-messages/
After entering your email address , access your account by clicking on your avatar, then on "View account". In the blue menu bar above the screen, select "Security" and at the bottom of the page you just opened, click "More security options". You will be redirected to the page "Help us protect your account", where you will need to recover a secret code either by phone or on another Internet address. This page is an additional security installed by Microsoft to ensure that the person who wishes to delete a Hotmail account is the owner of this account.
When you have confirmed this PIN, the Hotmail Unsubscribe page appears. Click "Next" to continue deleting your Hotmail account. Then tick all the boxes to confirm your decision to close your account permanently, then click on "Mark Account for Closing".
Your Hotmail account is not automatically deleted after this operation. It is "marked for closure" by Microsoft for a period of 60 days, during which you can reverse your decision , cancel the procedure and recover all your data. Only after this 60 day period will your account be permanently deleted.
What happens once your Hotmail account is closed?
Once you've deleted your Hotmail account, you'll no longer have access to Outlook or Hotmail . You will no longer be able to access the Xbox, OneDrive, and Office365 subscription services. You will also lose all information and files associated with your Microsoft account. Contacts who try to reach you by email will receive an error message announcing the deletion of your account.
